David Allan Stewart (born 9 September 1952), often known as Dave Stewart, is an English musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for his work with Eurythmics. He is usually credited as David A. Stewart, to avoid confusion with other musicians named "Dave Stewart".

Daft Punk: "Around the World" (1998)

Daft Punk are an electronic music duo consisting of French musicians Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (born February 8, 1974) and Thomas Bangalter (born January 3, 1975). Daft Punk reached significant popularity in the late 1990s house movement in France and met with continued success in the years following, combining elements of house with synthpop. The duo is also credited with producing songs that are considered essential in the French house scene. They were managed from 1996 to 2008 by Pedro Winter (Busy P), the head of Ed Banger Records.

Early in the group's career, the band members were strongly influenced by groups such as The Beach Boys and The Rolling Stones. Bangalter and de Homem-Christo were originally in a band called Darlin', which disbanded after a short period of time, leaving the two to experiment musically on their own. The duo became Daft Punk, and released their critically acclaimed debut album Homework in 1997. The 2001 release Discovery was even more successful, driven by the club singles "One More Time", "Digital Love" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". In March 2005, the duo released the album Human After All to mixed reviews. However, the singles "Robot Rock" and "Technologic" achieved success in the United Kingdom. Daft Punk toured throughout 2006 and 2007 and released the live album Alive 2007, which won a Grammy award for Best Electronic/Dance Album. The duo composed the score of the film Tron: Legacy and in 2010 released the soundtrack album of the film.

Daft Punk is noted for its elaborate live shows, in which visual elements and effects are incorporated with the music. The group is also known for its emphasis on visual and story components associated with their musical productions, as well as for wearing ornate robot costumes in public and while performing.

David Guetta: "Love Don't Let Me Go" (2002)

"Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)" was released as a mash-up of Tocadisco's remix of The Egg's single "Walking Away" with the vocals of Chris Willis from David Guetta's 2002 single "Love Don't Let Me Go". The mash-up has first been made during a live performance by French DJ and Guetta's production partner Joachim Garraud, though several people claim having done it before. It was featured in an advert for the Citroën C4, and peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart. It was released as the first single from Guetta's third studio album Pop Life.

"The Ketchup Song" is the English title of the song "Aserejé", performed by the Andalusian-Spanish pop group Las Ketchup, which was an international hit in 2002. The song exists in three versions, Spanish, a version in a mixture of English and Spanish, described as "Spanglish", and a version in Portuguese. The chorus is identical in the three versions. Lorna: "Papi Chulo" (2003)

"Papi Chulo... (te traigo el mmmm)" is a 2003 song recorded by rapper and reggaeton artist Lorna. Released as her debut single in 2003 summer, the song achieved a huge success in many countries, becoming a top five hit in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.

Sponsored by NRJ, the song also features as B-side on Lorna's second single, "Papito ven a mí". In the refrains, the singer can be heard sighing in a sexual manner.

In the music video, Lorna performs a suggestive dance while singing.

In France, the single went to number 46 on July 20, 2003. It climbed quickly and reached the top ten three weeks later. It finally topped the chart for a sole week, then dropped but managed a total of 14 weeks in the top ten and 20 weeks on the chart. It fell off the chart after being at #25 probably because the song was available on the singer's next single then released. The single is currently the 937th best-selling single of all time.

A Pakistani cover version of the song has also been released with Urdu lyrics sung by popular Makrani singer Younis Jani.

In Italy the song title and the song itself have been widely used in political satire: "papi" (daddy) is one of the nicknames of Silvio Berlusconi, first used by Noemi Letizia, a girl involved in one of the many sexual scandals of the Italian Prime Minister. "Chulo", other than meaning "pimp" in spanish, sounds like "ciùlo", a slang term for the sexual act.

"She Loves Everybody" is a song by the band Chester French. It is the first single from their debut album Love the Future.

The single was released as an EP and featured packinging in the style of a condom wrapper, due to the themes considered in the eponymous song, in particular referencing the lyric, "she craves affection, so I use protection." KC & The Sunshine Band: "Please don't go" (1979)

"Please Don't Go" is a song recorded and released in 1979 on the KC and the Sunshine Band album Do You Wanna Go Party. The song was the band's first love ballad, in which the subject pleads obviously for a second chance. Shortly after the song's one-week run at number one, the group broke up and Harry Wayne Casey went solo. The song was a number-one hit on the Australian ARIA Charts, the band's fifth and final number-one hit on Billboard Hot 100 charts, and the first number-one hit of the 1980s.

Chris de Burgh: "High On Emotion" (1984)

Chris de Burgh (born Christopher John Davison, 15 October 1948, Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe Province, Argentina) is a British/Irish singer-songwriter. He is most famous for his 1986 love song "The Lady in Red".

Chris de Burgh signed his first contract with A&M Records in 1974, and supported Supertramp on their Crime of the Century tour, building himself a small fan base. His début album, Far Beyond These Castle Walls, was a folk-tinged stab at fantasy in the tradition of the Moody Blues that failed to chart upon its release in February 1975. That July, he released a single called "Turning Round" from the album, released outside the UK and Ireland as "Flying". It failed to make an impression in the UK, but it stayed on top of the Brazilian charts for 17 weeks. This became a familiar pattern for the singer/songwriter, as every one of his '70s albums failed to chart in the UK or U.S. while they racked up big sales in European and South American countries. In 1981, he had his first UK chart entry with Best Moves, a collection culled from his early albums. It set the stage for 1982's Rupert Hine produced The Getaway, which reached number 30 in the UK charts and number 43 in the U.S., thanks to the eerie single "Don't Pay the Ferryman". Chris de Burgh's follow-up album, Man on the Line, also performed well, charting at 69 in the U.S. and 11 in the UK.

Phil Collins: "Both Sides Of The Story" (1993)

"Both Sides of the Story" is a song performed by Phil Collins and released in 1993 as the lead single from the album Both Sides.

According to wikipedia, the video, mainly shot in New York, follows the lyrics of the song. The first section cuts between Collins singing and images of a gutter and homeless people. The second section shows Collins inside a house, sitting on the stairs. He watches a married couple arguing, while their children watch on. After the chorus, a military unit patrolling in a town while children spray-paint the walls. The final section portrays the story of a confrontation with a ghetto kid threatening another man with a gun. The video with shots of New York and the people, cutting like the first section again with Collins singing the closing lyrics. Due to the length of the video, it didn't receive much airplay on MTV.

"Tell It Like It Is" is a song written by George Davis and Lee Diamond. It was first recorded by Aaron Neville, who released the song as a single in 1966. It was issued at the end of the year on the Par-Lo label and became a hit, peaking at number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and at number one on the U.S. R&B chart in early 1967.

In 2004, it was ranked #381 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Tracy Chapman and Lightnin' Hopkins composed songs with the same name not to be confused with Davis and Diamond's version discussed here.

In 1989 actor Don Johnson recorded a version of the song on his album Let It Roll, which was successful in the Region at Germany. The cover was able to continue in some countries in the success of Johnson's debut single Heartbeat.

"Drive" is a 1984 song by The Cars, the third single from the band's Heartbeat City album and their biggest international hit. It was written by Ric Ocasek and produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange with the band. Lead vocals were by Cars' bassist Benjamin Orr.

"Drive" was The Cars' highest charting single in the United States, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. On the Adult Contemporary chart, the song went to number one. It reached number five in the UK Singles Chart on its initial release; following the Cars' performance at Live Aid, the song was re-released and peaked at number four.

It also reached number four in West Germany and number six in Canada. It was famously used as part of the Live Aid concert in 1985 as the background music to a montage of clips showing poverty-stricken Africa. Bob Geldof later claimed that phone calls to the appeal escalated dramatically during the song.
