Cubaïla: "La Charanga" (1998)
- Lyrics:
El Ultimo De La Fila
AstronomÃa Razonable
Como Un Burro Amarrado En La Puerta Del Baile
Música: M. GarcÃa GarcÃa-Perez/Q. Portet
Letra: M. GarcÃa GarcÃa-Perez
Me dices "good bye" en ti nota, tan ricamente,
y no me hago a la idea de volver a verte.
Si lo llego a saber, mimosa, no te bajo el puente,
me tiré de cabeza y me arrastró la corriente.
Este es mi destino,
al cabo de la calle estoy;
me siento como aquel ladrón
que busca su fortuna
en un callejón por donde nunca pasa nadie.
Como un burro amarrado a la puerta del baile.
Mi primo, que tiene un bar, desde siempre me ha dicho,
y me consta que todo lo dice de muy buena fe;
tanto tienes, tanto vales; no se puede remediar.
Si eres de los que no tienen, a galeras a remar.
Y si sólo tengo amor,
¿qué es lo que valgo yo?
Si tengo ganas de bailar,
¿para qué voy a esperar?
Ahora necesito amor,
es mi única ambición;
como yo no sé bailar,
a galeras a remar.
Baila conmigo, amor,
que soy muy cariñoso, guapa,
que aunque muy chico y muy feo,
piloto de aeroplano soy.
Llévame al cine, amor,
y a comer un arrocito a Castelló.
Si total son cuatro dÃas,
"pa" qué vas a exprimirte el limón.
"Escolta", Piquer,
dame aire con tu abanico
"que sóc de Barcelona
i em moro de calor".
Si sólo tengo amor,
¿qué es lo que valgo yo?
Si tengo ganas de bailar,
¿para qué voy a esperar?
Ahora necesito amor,
es mi única ambición;
y como yo no sé bailar,
a galeras a remar.
Y si sólo tengo "love",
¿qué es lo que valgo yo?
Si tengo ganas de bailar,
¿para qué voy a esperar?
Ahora necesito amor
porque mi novia me dejó.
Como yo no sé bailar,
a galeras a remar.
Ahora necesito amor.

The song was featured on the soundtrack of the video game Grand Theft Auto IV on the fictional in-game station "Vice City FM".
- Lyrics:
Now, how can it be
That a love carved out of caring
Fashioned by fate could suffer so hard
From the games played once too often
But making mistakes is a part of life's imperfection
Born of the years
Is it so wrong to be human after all?
Drawn into the stream of undefined illusion
Those diamond dreams, they can't disguise the truth
That there is something about you, baby, so right
I wouldn't be without you, baby, tonight
If ever our love was concealed
No-one can say that we didn't feel
A million things and a perfect dream of life
Gone, fragile but free
We remain tender together
If not so in love
And it's not so wrong; we're only human after all
These changing years, they add to your confusion
Oh and you need to hear the time that told the truth
You know, there's something about you, baby, so right
I wouldn't be without you, baby, tonight
Because there's something about you, baby, so right
I couldn't live without you, baby, tonight
Something about you, the way you are, so right
I wouldn't be without you here tonight
There's something about you, the way you are so right
I couldn't live without you here tonight

The kinks: "You Really Got Me" (1964)
"You Really Got Me" is a rock song written by Ray Davies and performed by his band, The Kinks. It was released on 4th August 1964 as the group's third single, and reached Number 1 on the UK singles chart the next month, remaining for two weeks. It was the group's breakthrough hit; it established them as one of the top British Invasion acts in the United States, reaching Number 7 there later in the year. It was later included on the Kinks' debut album, Kinks.
"You Really Got Me" was an early hit song built around power chords (perfect 5ths and octaves), and was heavily influential on later rock musicians, particularly in the heavy metal genre. American musicologist Robert Walser wrote that it is, "the track which invented heavy metal" while critic Denise Sullivan of Allmusic writes, "'You Really Got Me' remains a blueprint song in the hard rock and heavy metal arsenal."
In accordance with wikipedia, Rolling Stone magazine placed the song at number 82 on their list of the 500 greatest songs of all time and at number 4 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time. In early 2005, the song was voted the best British song of the 1955-1965 decade in a BBC radio poll. In March 2005, Q magazine placed it at number 9 in its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks. In 2009 it was named the 57th Greatest Hard Rock Song by VH1.
- Lyrics:
Girl, you really got me goin'
You got me so I don't know what I'm doin'
Yeah, you really got me now
You got me so I can't sleep at night
Yeah, you really got me now
You got me so I don't know what I'm doin', now
Oh yeah, you really got me now
You got me so I can't sleep at night
You Really Got Me
You Really Got Me
You Really Got Me
See, don't ever set me free
I always wanna be by your side
Girl, you really got me now
You got me so I can't sleep at night
Yeah, you really got me now
You got me so I don't know what I'm doin', now
Oh yeah, you really got me now
You got me so I can't sleep at night
You Really Got Me
You Really Got Me
You Really Got Me

Steppenwolf: "Born to be wild" (1968)
"Born to Be Wild" is a rock song written by Mars Bonfire and made famous by the Canadian-American rock band Steppenwolf. It is often used in popular culture to denote a biker appearance or attitude. It is sometimes described as the first heavy metal song, and the second verse lyric "heavy metal thunder," marks the first use of this term in rock music.
"Born to Be Wild" was written by Mars Bonfire (who also wrote several other songs for Steppenwolf) as a slow ballad. Writer Bonfire was previously a member of the Sparrows, the predecessor band to Steppenwolf, and his brother was Steppenwolf's drummer. Although he initially offered the song to other bands — The Human Expression, for one — Born to Be Wild was first recorded in 1967 by Steppenwolf in a sped-up and rearranged version, that the All Music Guide's Hal Horowitz described as "a roaring anthem of turbo-charged riff rock" and "a timeless radio classic as well as a slice of '60s revolt that at once defines Steppenwolf's sound and provided them with their shot at AM immortality."
- Lyrics:
Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feeling that I'm under
Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never want to die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Get your motor running
Head out on the highway
Lookin' for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin', gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once and
Explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never want to die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

- Lyrics:
Out where the river broke
The bloodwood and the desert oak
Holden wrecks and boiling diesels
Steam in forty five degrees
The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share
The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
Let's give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
The time has come to say fairs fair
to pay the rent, now to pay our share
Four wheels scare the cockatoos
From Kintore East to Yuendemu
The western desert lives and breathes
In forty five degrees
The time has come
To say fair's fair
To pay the rent
To pay our share
The time has come
A fact's a fact
It belongs to them
Let's give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
The time has come to say fair's fair
To pay the rent, now to pay our share
The time has come, a fact's a fact
It belongs to them, we're gonna give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning

Love, Love, Love x3
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game.
It's easy.
Nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time.
It's easy.
[Refrain] : x2
All you need is love.
All you need is love.
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need.
Nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
[Refrain]
All you need is love [All together, now!]
All you need is love. [Everybody!]
All you need is love, love.
Love is all you need [love is all you need].
Yee-hai!
Oh yeah!
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah x2

Eric Clapton And J.J. Cale: "After Midnight" (2001)
"After Midnight" is a rock song written by J. J. Cale, which was later successfully covered by Eric Clapton. The laid back boogie feel of "After Midnight" is a prime example of Cale's signature style. Cale had written the song and released a demo version in 1966.
"After Midnight" was also in many ways the catalyst for Cale's own solo recording career. Cale was unaware of Clapton's recording of the song until it became a radio hit in 1970. He recalled to Mojo magazine that when he heard Clapton’s version playing on his radio, “I was dirt poor, not making enough to eat and I wasn’t a young man. I was in my thirties, so I was very happy. It was nice to make some money.” [1] Cale's friend and producer Audie Ashworth then encouraged him to capitalize on the song's success by recording a full album, Naturally, released in 1971. The single by Cale reached #42 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1972.
Cale released a live version on the album Live in 2001.
- Lyrics:
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna chug-a-lug and shout.
We're gonna stimulate some action;
We're gonna get some satisfaction.
We're gonna find out what it is all about.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna shake your tambourine.
After midnight, it's all gonna be peaches and cream.
We're gonna cause talk and suspicion;
We're gonna give an exhibition.
We're gonna find out what it is all about.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
Second Verse
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.
After midnight, we're gonna let it all hang out.

But give me just a second
I need to strength feels out with you
You put my hope and dreams away
And there is not a single day
I don’t fear the words because of you

And I know ow oh oh oh oh oh oh
That is not a dreaaaam
But I saw ohoho
Yeah I saw your skin
And I know oh oh oh oh
You

When I look right into your eyes
Those feelings never lie
My only weapon is the song
And you won’t have to sing alone
This is the story of my life

- Lyrics:
When you're alone
And life is making you lonely,
You can always go downtown
When you've got worries,
All the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure
Downtown, everything's waiting for you
(Downtown)
Don't hang around
And let your problems surround you
There are movie shows downtown
Maybe you know
Some little places to go to
Where they never close downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossanova
You'll be dancing with 'em too before the night is over
Happy again
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Downtown where all the lights are bright,
Downtown, waiting for you tonight,
Downtown, you're gonna be alright now
(Downtown downtown)
Downtown
(Downtown)
And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you,
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along
So, maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares and go
Downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, don't wait a minute more
Downtown, everything's waiting for you
Downtown (downtown) downtown (downtown)
Downtown (downtown) downtown (downtown)
(repeat and fade out)

Natalie Imbruglia: "Wrong Impression" (2001)
Natalie Jane Imbruglia (born 4 February 1975) is an Australian singer-songwriter, model and actress.
In the early 1990s, Imbruglia was known to audiences as Beth Brennan in the popular Australian soap Neighbours. Three years after leaving the programme, Imbruglia launched a singing career with the international hit, "Torn". The subsequent debut album Left of the Middle (1997) sold over 6 million copies worldwide. Further releases, White Lilies Island (2001) and Counting Down the Days (2005), have been unable to match the commercial success of her debut, although the latter did become her first UK #1.
Her fourth studio album, Come to Life, was released on 2 October 2009 to little effect. The physical UK release has been delayed so that Imbruglia can commit to her duties as mentor and judge on the Australian version of The X Factor franchise.
She co-starred in the 2003 film Johnny English and made her leading actress debut in the 2009 film Closed for Winter.
- Lyrics:
Calling out, calling out
Haven't you wondered
Why I'm always alone
When you're in my dreams
Calling out, calling out
Haven't you wondered
Why you're finding it hard
Just looking at me
I want you
But I want you to understand
I leave you
I love you
Didn't want to leave you
With the wrong impression
Didn't want to leave you
With my last confession
Of love
Wasn't trying to pull you
In the wrong direction
All I wanna do is try and
Make a connection
Of love
Falling out, falling out
Haven't you wondered
If this was ever more
Than a crazy idea
Falling out, falling out
Haven't you wondered
What we could've been
If you'd only let me in
I want you
But I want you to understand
I miss you
I love you
Didn't want to leave you
With the wrong impression
Didn't want to leave you
With my last confession
Of love
Wasn't trying to pull you
In the wrong direction
All I wanna do is try and
Make a connection
Of love
I need you
I love you

- Lyrics:
Have you noticed i've never been impressed
by your friends from new york and london
i'll level accusations like the press
until you realise that you've dressed yourself in tatters
because the man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me
a man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
i'm not bothered
what you say or how you dress
i'm a mess, so you've always seemed inviting
but really
this all seems quite meaningless and i remember
that you never seem to see
the fact that man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me
a girl's needs
girl's needs
just don't agree
don't agree
with man's needs
have you noticed i've never been impressed by your friends from new york and london?
but really this all seems quite meaningless and i remember
that you never seem to see
the fact that man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me
you say a man's needs
man's needs
apply to me
i don't agree

- Lyrics:
It all started with a stumble
And I get old and I get humble
The sky cracked a million ways
Making me blind
And as the trees grew higher and higher
And the fish began to fly
I went and stole some wings
And thought why can't I
Get in the sunrise
I want to get in the sunrise
Put the world upon your shoulder
I'll stay young while I watch everyone getting older
You can take a million years
Out of my head
But I'm starting to lose my place
In the circles that I trace
And if I let go only then
Will my face
Get in the sunrise
I want to get in the sunrise

- Lyrics:
You move it to the left then you go for yourself
You move it to the right if it takes all night
Now baby kinda slow with a whole lot of soul
Don't move it too last, you make it last
You know you scratch just like a monkey, yeah you do, real, yeah
You slide it to the limbo
Yeah, how low can you go?
Oh, come on baby, I don't want you to stumble now
You just grove it right here to the Harlem shuffle
Yeah, yeah, yeah, do the Harlem shuffle
Oh, do the Monkey Shine now
Yeah, yeah, yeah, do the Harlem shuffle
Hitch, hitch hike baby across the floor
Whoa, whoa, whoa, I can't stand it no more
Now come on baby, now get into your slide
We're gonna ride, ride, ride, little pony, ride, yeah
Shake, shake, shake, shake your tail feather baby
Shake, shake, shake, shake your tail feather baby, one more time
Shake, shake, shake

- Lyrics:
Funny how a lonely day, can make a person say:
What good is my life
Funny how a breaking heart, can make me start to say:
What good is my life
Funny how I often seem, to think I'll find never another dream
In my life
Till I look around and see, this great big world is part of me
And my life
This is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that's the way that I was born to be
This is me
This is me
This is my life
And I don't give a damn for lost emotions
I've such a lot of love I've got to give
Let me live
Let me live
Sometime when I feel afraid, I think of what a mess I've made
Of my life
Crying over my mistakes, forgetting all the breaks I've had
In my life
I was put on earth to be, a part of this great world is me
And my life
Guess I'll just add up the score, and count the things I'm grateful for
In my life
This Is my life
Today, tomorrow, love will come and find me
But that's the way that I was born to be
This is me
This is me
This is my life
And I don't give a damn for lost emotions
I've such a lot of love I've got to give
Let me live
Let me live
This is my life

- Lyrics:
Watch you when you say
What you are and when you blame
Everyone, You broken king
Watch you change the frame or
Watch you when you take your aim
At the sum of everything
[Refrain]
Cause you and your heart
shouldn’t feel so far apart
You can choose what you take
Why you gotta break and make it feel so hard
You lay there in the street
Like broken glass reflecting pieces of the sun
But you’re not the flame
You got the people passing by
Because you know what you don’t like
It’s just so easy, it’s just so easy
But you and your heart
Shouldn’t feel so far apart
You can choose what you take
Why you gotta break and make it feel so hard
Oh and you and your heart
Shouldn’t feel so far apart
You can choose what you take
Why you gotta break and make it feel so hard
You draw so many lines in the sand
Lost the fingernails on your hands
How you’re gonna scratch any backs?
Better hope that time will take our lines away
Take all our lines and
Hope that time will take our lines and
Hope that time will take our lines away
Take all our lines away

- Lyrics:
Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life

- Lyrics:
Lasciatemi cantare
con la chitarra in mano
lasciatemi cantare
sono un italiano
Buongiorno Italia gli spaghetti al dente
e un partigiano come Presidente
con l'autoradio sempre nella mano destra
e un canarino sopra la finestra
Buongiorno Italia con i tuoi artisti
con troppa America sui manifesti
con le canzoni con amore
con il cuore
con piu' donne sempre meno suore
Buongiorno Italia
buongiorno Maria
con gli occhi pieni di malinconia
buongiorno Dio
lo sai che ci sono anch'io
Lasciatemi cantare
con la chitarra in mano
lasciatemi cantare
una canzone piano piano
Lasciatemi cantare
perche' ne sono fiero
sono un italiano
un italiano vero
Buongiorno Italia che non si spaventa
e con la crema da barba alla menta
con un vestito gessato sul blu
e la moviola la domenica in TV
Buongiorno Italia col caffe' ristretto
le calze nuove nel primo cassetto
con la bandiera in tintoria
e una 600 giu' di carrozzeria
Buongiorno Italia
buongiorno Maria
con gli occhi pieni di malinconia
buongiorno Dio
lo sai che ci sono anch'io
Lasciatemi cantare
con la chitarra in mano
lasciatemi cantare
una canzone piano piano
Lasciatemi cantare
perche' ne sono fiero
sono un italiano
un italiano vero.
La la la la la la la la...
Lasciatemi cantare
con la chitarra in mano
lasciatemi cantare
una canzone piano piano
Lasciatemi cantare
perche' ne sono fiero
sono un italiano
un italiano vero

Status Quo: "In The Army Now"
"In the Army Now" is a song by the Dutch duo Rob and Ferdi Bolland, recorded in 1981. The song was also later recorded by the English rock band Status Quo on their 1986 album, In the Army Now, and their version peaked at number 2 in the UK Singles Chart. Slovenian industrial band Laibach recorded a cover-version for their war-themed NATO album in 1994. In 2009, Les Enfoirés covered the song under the title "Ici Les Enfoirés", using the same tune, but changing the lyrics to ones in the French language. A German language version was released by the band Fee in 1987, titled Du mußt zur Bundeswehr.
On 26 September 2010, Status Quo will release a brand new version of "In The Army Now" through Universal / UMC. All profits from this updated and lyrically-reworked version will be donated equally to the British Forces Foundation and Help For Heroes charities.
A Facebook campaign page titled "Get the new version of In The Army Now to No.1!" has been set up to promote the single in an attempt to get it to No.1 in the U.K. singles chart.
- Lyrics:
A vacation in a foreign land
Uncle Sam does the best he can
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Now you remember what the draftsman said
Nothing to do all day but stay in bed
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
You be the hero of the neighborhood
Nobody knows that you left for good
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Smiling faces as you wait to land
But once you get there no one gives a damn
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Hand grenades flying over your head
Missiles flying over your head
If you want to survive get out of bed
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Shots ring out in the dad of night
The sergeant calls (stand up and fight)
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
You've got your orders better shoot on sight
Your finger's on the trigger
But it don't seem right
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Night is falling and you just can't see
Is this illusion or reality
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
You're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
Oh, oh, you're in the army now
