"Never Be the Same Again" is Melanie Chisholm's third single from her debut solo album, Northern Star.

It was released on 20 March 2000. It debuted and peaked at the top of the UK charts, knocking down fellow Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's single "Bag It Up" to number two. "Never Be the Same Again" became her first solo single to reach number-one and was co-written with producer Rhett Lawrence. The song features a rap and a co-writing credit from the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes of TLC. The single sold 401,800 copies in the UK alone, making it the eighteenth best seller of 2000. It also revived interest in the Northern Star album. In Europe, the single has sold over 1.5 million copies (900,000 copies in Germany confirmed by 'Media Control Germany'), making "Never Be the Same Again" one of her best-selling singles in Europe.
