The British XFactor's Winner Is..

An enormous peak audience of 19.1 million – a huge 62 percent share of the television audience – watched Joe McElderry win The X Factor fina.


Smashing the record from last year’s final when 14.6 million viewers watched Alexandra get crowned.


Figures show that the 2009 show has been the most watched ever series of The X Factor, with viewing figures on ITV1 averaging 11.8 million.


The ITV website has clocked up over 95 million page views over the course of the series and topped more than 30.5 million video views, with a staggering 1.9 million video views over the final weekend alone !
